Domestic hot water with solar panel

  • Detail of solar panel with storage tank below

This single solar panel system provides domestic hot water (DHW) directly to the household. It is a good cost-effective installation with quick amortisation. This system uses solar energy to heat water through the solar panel and stores the water in the hot water cylinder located just below, simplifying its installation and cost.

The hot water is brought directly from the storage tank to the circuit using the temperature achieved thanks to the solar panel. This water can reach the ideal temperature through solar energy or otherwise pass through the heater to reach the desirable degrees, with considerable savings as it is preheated water. In the first case the cost of heating water is zero, and in the second, as the heater receives preheated water, represents a significant cost savings. This saving is estimated to become 80% or greater around the year.

In Orihuela and the area of Vega Baja, this means that water is normally heated with zero cost around eight months and the other four months, the solar panel provides savings as it preheats the water.

In this particular case, the savings can be significant, however our customers chose this option, not only for energy savings, also driven by their awareness of the environment.
